Picton Respiratory Clinic has been established in partnership with the Australian Government Department of Health to provide free short-term care of respiratory illnesses. It has now expanded to also provide Covid-19 vaccination (both Astra Zeneca and Pfizer).
Picton Respiratory Clinic is co-located beside our General Practice to provide the safest environment for assessment, treatment and covid-19 testing.
The Picton Respiratory Clinic is currently a Drive Through Clinic for Covid-19 and respiratory testing. Please refer to the website for further instructions.
Who can attend?
You do NOT need to be a regular patient of Picton Family Medical Centre in order to attend. You do not need to hold a medicare card. This service is for EVERYONE.
Appointments are free, no fees apply as this service is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. A GP referral is not required.
Anyone with any symptoms or signs of a respiratory illness such as a cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, headache, body ache or ear pain are encouraged to organise testing. Those who have been advised to seek Covid Testing due to contact tracing are also encouraged to attend. Results will be sent to patients via SMS directly from Laverty Pathology.
Covid-19 vaccination is available to anyone who is currently eligible to receive a vaccination. This is also a free service. Please refer to the Vaccine Eligibility Checker if you are unsure if you are currently eligible. https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/
